I know this is like asking how long is a piece of string but like they say, if you don't ask I recently replaced the volume control in my rig and since then if the rig has been running for an hour or so I notice the smell of an over-heated component when I come into the room. The front of the right hand side panel near U12 5V regulator seems warmer to the touch than I would expect but everything is working fine. I have done a careful visual inspection and found nothing. It is a 100W rig with ATU and SubRcvr fitted and the input current with 13.5V is 1.54A which seems a bit high. So the question... anybody got any ideas where I should look?
