I'm sorry, it's probably the DISP button rather than MENU. MENU also changes VFO B, but not to the things you're seeing. Those are DISP functions.

When holding the split button the split function shows the B VFO is controlling transmit. When turning the B VFO knob all I get is time and voltages and no split frequency.
