Is there normally high noise on 160m with a K2 ? Comparing the K2 to an old Ten Tec Delta the k2 signals seem to be lower and noise higher.
A sharp sizzling frying pan noise was pronounced on the K2 and uncomfortable to listen to but barely there on the Delta. This a used K2 and I adjusted the STP (Sidetone Pitch) to my liking and wonder if that messed something up or is the K2 noisy on 160m ? This is the QRP K2 with ATU but no Noise Blanker or DSP.
