Subject: Re: [Elecraft] K60XV ALC

| G'day folks,
|
|| If Gary can reproduce this behavior, I'll have to take a look at the
|| firmware. I don't recall anything like this when I tested the prototype
|| K60XV -- it never would have made it out of the lab ;)
|
| OK, I give in, Gary pointed out the obvious. I was forgetting that with
| an active auto tuner the K2 MCU auto reduces the output when pressing
the
| TUNE button. Simply overcome, as I do very frequently but didn't relate
| it to the K60XV, by pressing the TUNE and DISPLAY buttons at the same
| time. Maybe a reminder should be added to the last instruction on page
14
| of the manual that any active auto tuner will command this power
reduction
| so turn it off for this test.
|
| My K60XV performs as expected and intended, well actually I have just
| noticed something else which I will take up with Gary.
|
| Right now that is out of the way onwards to the VCO shield mod.
|
| Regards,
|
| Mike VP8NO
