You'll be fine with short lengths of the smaller sized coax. Larger diameter coax is more important for long runs where the loss difference becomes significant. I use LMR-240 for my in-shack connections. I use LMR-400 for the 100' run to the base of my tower.
But do use good quality coaxial connectors. 73 de Dick, K6KR -----Original Message----- From: elecraft-boun...@mailman.qth.net [mailto:elecraft-boun...@mailman.qth.net] On Behalf Of d...@dpomeroy.com Sent: Saturday, February 08, 2014 12:52 PM To: elecraft@mailman.qth.net Subject: [Elecraft] K2 to kat100 coax Is rg58 ok for this or do I need rg8? ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
