You'll be fine with short lengths of the smaller sized coax.  Larger
diameter coax is more important for long runs where the loss difference
becomes significant.  I use LMR-240 for my in-shack connections.   I use
LMR-400 for the 100' run to the base of my tower.

But do use good quality coaxial connectors.
