Good Evening, Here in Oregon the weather has returned to normal; incessant rain showers with fog and periods of high wind. At my elevation the precipitation switches to snow now and then to keep things interesting. When snow level drops into the valleys is when things go a little crazy. After the snow from last week melted I went to the grocery store only to find the shelves rather bare. Seems the snowpocalypse caused a bit of a panic. The sun has been active so the ionosphere is pretty lively. Ten meters has been open much of the week; at least the days I had electricity. The radio next to this computer is not run from batteries. I have the K3 on a battery bank so if need be I can get out on HF. Calling for help on VHF is only possible during the drive time nets, other than that it is unguarded.
