I am also using DXLab. Clicking on a spot with split on SpotCollector my K3

Spot Collector/Config/General
make sure the box for Set Xcvr split is checked

In DXLab the Commander seems very rudimentary and I have not figured out any
way to add controls that will get it to any degree near the facilities of
HRD. Have I missed something obvious?

Out of the box, DXLabs Commander isn't as glitzy and pretty as HRD,
but it is *HIGHLY* configurable and capable of almost everything you would want it to do, however it does require you to work for it, lol.

here is are some views of what can be done:

here are 2 links that will help you configure commander for ur K3:
http://www.dxlabsuite.com/dxlabwiki/TranceiverControlElecraft
http://www.dxlabsuite.com/commander/Help/CommandSequences.htm

also if you join the DXLabs yahoo group:
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/dxlab/info

in the files section under:
Command Sequences and Sliders user-defined Command Sequences and Sliders for Commander

https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/dxlab/files/Command%20Sequences%20and%20Sliders/

you will find an Elecraft section with many of the sequences & sliders already written up for you.

enjoy
