I have flown with a QRP radio exactly once in the past ten years. I was pulled out of line after x-ray, and sent to an area some distance from the x-ray machine. There I stood until a guy came over and donned nitrile gloves, and using a pair of tongs, swabbed my radio, cables, atu, paddles, etc, then stuck the large swab into a machine. I started to speak to him, but another TSA official told me to remain quiet. The rest of the passengers filed by, looking at me like I was Mohammed Atta. I was not asked a single question.
The non-swabbing guard then motioned me back over, apparently unaware I was, in fact, fluent in English. He then pointed to the line, indicating I could go. I was a bit surprised, because everyone knows at FT-817 can blow up at any time. 73, Eric WD6DBM Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
