I have an article approved for publishing in QST that shows how to add automatic relay switching to the AL600. 12 relays and a band decoder that provides a ground for each selected band are required.

ARI-500 works if your ALS-600 is the newer one with provision for
remote switching. The original LPF board was not relay controllable.

You can also use the W9XT BCD-10 and source driver boards if you're
willing to do a little packaging work.

I have my K3 hooked up to the AL600 and it works great. Now I would
like to add the auto band switching. Has anyone done this and how does
it work out? Did you home brew the cables or is there a supplier that
sells them? Any help would be appreciated.
