Hi to the group It is raining in North Dakota so I am spending a day in the shack and installed FLDIGI on my Windows lap top. I want to use it for Field Day and some contests. Under CONFIG/RIG CONTROL/RIG/HAMLIB I was able to choose K3/KX3 and the program seems to do everything I would want to participate in a contest as long as I use RTTY or PSK31. I next looked at doing CW and have a big problem. I can program <RIGCAT:["ky TEST ;"]\ret> on an F KEY but using Hamlib this will not get passed on to the KX3. If I set up RIGCAT I can send the text to the KX3 with the F KEY but than the Fldigi FREQUENCY feature does not work. I am looking for a way to set up FLDIGI to have both the FREQUENCY feature and be able to use an F KEY to send "ky TEST;" to the KX3 using the CW mode.
