Just worked FK8GJ in Noumea, New Caledonia on 40 CW with the K2 @ 5 watts. He had a real nice signal into Kansas this morning 569 and no QRN. The surprise was catching him before the pack jumped on him, and he had already been spotted on the net. He was also wanting to rag-chew a bit which was a pleasant surprise as my father spent around a year in Noumea while in the Navy during WWII.
