Hi: Yes. I found out the same when I added my bug to the K3. Paddle connected to paddle input and bug connected to Key input. When engaging CW Text Decode function I can see my send code using the paddle, no problem. I see nothing when I use the bug. I didn't see a config or menu setting that pertained to this, so I am thinking that, no, you cannot see your cw decode when using anything other than the paddle.
