One of the costs of a highly integrated system like the K3-P3-KPA500-KAT500 is
the mess of cabling used to pass information among the components. It all
seems so — how should I put this — so 20th century. My desktop computer system
with its wireless mouse and wireless keyboard and wireless remote PP slide
manager is slicker in that regard than my radio (f/k/a a wireless). Perhaps a
bluetooth-like system is in store for us in the mythical K4. But in the
meantime, I can envision small dongles that would plug into every socket on
each of the existing black boxes (other than the HF RF coax, maybe) to convert
all of the I/O into 800 Mhz or whatever . . . . Is possible? Has anyone done
it?
