Thank you, Alan, that is very helpful and will try that. I have had a suggestion that the problem could be due to high harmonic content from the 28MHz output from the K2, so I am continuing with various test to establish the cause.

My suggestion is a coaxial trap or possibly a series LC to deck (use
a trimmer C).  The insertion loss will be minimal.  A single trap had
little effect on the feed Z as shown on my Tx but ideally a second
one about lambda/4 at 145MHz further down the feeder will offset the
effect at 145.  I'll be interested to see how it works on the
harmonic.

I am having a problem with 5th harmonic radiation from my
XV144 transverter.  I have found that I am causing TVI to
the UK analogue Channel 51 (711.25MHz) and digital Channel
52 (719.25MHz).  Other TV channels are free from interference.
