I am seeing see about a 1 S-unit jump in this noise above the floor in quiet band conditions when I use rig control (any program) on a Dell laptop. Rig power supply is quiet.

Before I spend a lot of time reinventing things... and trying to figure out how to search the archives for something this specific:

Is there someone who has used ferrites to kill hash noise that only occurs with this combination of rig, panadapter, and amp setup when the Elecraft Utilities or a rig control program is running?

If so what type of ferrite(s) did you use and where did you place them?

Observation: I can knock the noise down by half by putting a "medium sized" clip over ferrite (sorry, it says TEAC on it... no model number) right at the box on the KXPA100 to KX3 adapter cable.

That may be the best I can do - if so thanks for reading this and not telling me to search the archive...
