Hi Bill! Do I understand correctly that you left the KXPD3 attached to your KX3 when it was inserted into the case?
I'd say you are fortunate that there wasn't -more- damage to the paddle assembly. There is a pocket on the inside wall for safety stowing the paddle assembly.
