Hi Keith, The crystal filter in the IF will filter out the unwanted sideband (on the other side of zero beat), but if the signal is strong enough it will still get through the filter and you will hear it. What you're hearing may be normal. If it only happens on VERY strong signals, I'd say there's no need to make any adjustments.
