Rich & Don- I am told that the Heil HM-IC has the same element as the MH-2. the HM-IC coupled with the Kenwood cable is plug and play ( with the jumpers and the 5.6k resistor as specified in the Elecraft instructions for the KSB-2). It works fine in my K2/100

The plastic case on the 701 is not a large or a rugged as the MH2 was but the MH2 is not available any more and Elecraft does not have a replacement for it at the current time.
