What baud rate is K3 set to? Should be USB if using the USB to USB cable.
I don't think the computer will connect to the radio if radio is not ON. You do not use a KUSB with the KIO3B upgrade. You should also get the new P3 "Y" cable to connect the P3 to the K3.
