I am surprised that you think it is not possible to accidentally set the bandpass filter to the wrong band or have an automatic switching relay fail, have a control wire pull out or just plain cockpit error after operating sleep deprived? W0MU has a good point, if you're operating away from home like many of us do it could be a nice feature.

I also at the point purchased bandpass filters so that I didn't have to worry about that happening again. 73, Will, wj9b CWops #1085 CWA Advisor levels II and III http://cwops.org/ -------------------------------------------- On Tue, 2/21/17, W0MU Mike Fatchett <w0mu at w0mu.com> wrote: Subject: Re: [Elecraft] Front end protection To: elecraft at mailman.qth.net Date: Tuesday, February 21, 2017, 5:34 PM Most everyone missed the point. ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com
