The ModMic is an electret mic that can be added to your favorite headphones. 
I’ve been suggesting it to people for years, and I’m delighted to hear that 
someone is using it.

Electret mics are pretty flat, so just go with Jim Brown’s recommendations. You 
can see a graph comparing his recommended contour to Heil’s at my blog post 
(link below). I plotted all the contours posted to the Elecraft mailing list to 
compare them. About half were very similar to K9YC’s contour, and the rest were 
all over the place.
