My SS30DV has worked flawlessly for about 6 years on a variety of rigs and other uses. Contrary to the lack of such info, the actual voltage IS ADJUSTABLE with a small potentiometer inside the unit. However, there is a flaw in the unit. I use it at a condo on a beach of the Atlantic Ocean in Cocoa Beach, Florida in the winters. The area around the rear entrance for the air intake for the fan is totally rusted and the paint around the vent is completely gone. There is, obviously, salt in the air, even though I used it only inside, on the floor near the sliding glass door to the balcony. While it is still working OK, I suspect that there is also corrosion inside the unit, but hope that it doesn't cause a failure. A better antirust coating and/or better paint job should be used. My K3 shows no corrosion nor rusting of any parts, including inside. I did opt for the Stainless Steel Case screws in construction.
