I agree with your entire post. I have actually asked for help in forums, and the responders have made typos what they tell me to type, and then they brow beat me because they made a mistake. One of them actually said, "You should have known what I meant to type!" YIKES! Not exactly a friendly community. Every time I think about switching to Linux, it doesn't take me long to reconsider. Way too many hours are spent trying to make things work. It just isn't worth the trouble.
