Seems like we might be getting toward OT here? A “sawzall”, a trivial bit of framing, and a pre-hung window can fix that very quickly. If you are just installing a “window mount” AC unit, you can save (a lot of) time and money by skipping the window and put the AC unit directly in the hole. If you want the structure to last, seal around the outside to prevent water ingress and long term damage.
