I think it unlikely that it could support spots easily, but I agree that it would be very valuable to be able to use a mouse to click on signals to QSY. I know the P3 has a turn 'n push knob, but mouse interaction would be a lot faster.
For those that generally hold a frequency during normal CW/SSB contesting, you may not care for or need a large waterfall display.
