I used to have a dual channel 15-band equalizer. It could quickly compensate for deficiencies in my ear and signals. Compared to software equalizers, you can manipulate them rapidly for max readability. Many times a difficult copy became an easy copy.
However, the equalizer was susceptible to RFI, had some background noise and it took lots of space. Now I use RX EQ in K3. Good but not as good as the manual equalizer.
