All good info about different rigs having reverse polarities on the connector. But this is about the cable for the KX2. BTW, if you read page 5 of the KX2 manual, under power supply, the manual states that the center pin is + and the striped wire is +. Checking the cable with an ohmmeter is highly recommended...never know when the wire supplier changed something. However I would assume Elecraft would not redesign the socket polarity. So that's reasonably safe.
