I do not know what mauve is either.

My wife says I had only 8 crayons in my box while she had 64!
I am amazed at her color perception and memory. She can look at a color and go to the store and have them duplicate it exactly - even without a sample for matching.

Having done professional woodworking for 10 years, I can do good at wood stains and shades, so she leaves me to do that - I do not tinker with her color perception. If it is shades of brown, I can handle it, but I leave the rest to her.
