Ok on that, I did check that in menu, re 'AUTO OFF', and it is and was
set to 'infinite'.
There is also an 'ALARM' parameter with beeps, that turns the KX3 on,
not off.
The beeps heard before off was intriguing. I didn't see any screen
warnings at the Bezel.

Power supply is good at 15v solid from a battery bank, so there is no
supply power interruption.
It may turn off after 1/2 hour, and subsequently 2 hours or not at
all, but seems to happen not long after first powerup.
There is also a KXPA100 connected on the same power supply.
