My great-aunt Lorraine was born in 1897. She left her home in AR at age 16 to become a teacher on the Navajo reservation in western NM. Around the time of her 90th birthday party in 1987 (she lived to 102), I was fortunate to spend an afternoon talking with her. She told me that when she and her husband had a ranch here in NM in the '20s and '30s, they carried a "barbed-wire telephone" in their Model T to summon help when the car broke down. I thought that was really clever! 73, Jim KO5V ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net
