Gentlemen, One of the things that I appreciate about Elecraft is how it’s panel buttons are used to full effect with several secondary uses. While looking at the KX3 and K3 on my desk I note all buttons were used for additional functions however on the K4 there is a single button with a single purpose. Whether or not this is being reserved for future functionality is unknown however I have an idea.
For consideration, I recommend the REV button on the K4 be considered for a third programmable function, or a PF3. Where it’s closer to the VFO it would be a quicker to use. While I understand this may involve changing the silk screen paint on the front panel, I figure it would result in added functionality with just programming. Again this is only an idea. I’m in Group 3 awaiting my own K4D/HD short listed for sometime around June. You can do it!
