The KX3 is a fantastic IF radio. Why? * 50 MHz IF frequency works great with the W1GHz transverter * SSB/CW/NBFM modes with great RX * push button carrier * CW-in-SSB * single RF port matches the W1GHZ transverter's single IF port * separate T/R output with configurable sequencing delay * transverter bands including offset (shows 10 GHz frequency directly on the display Wow!) * very accurate and conveniently low output of 20 dBm * internal or external battery * competitive price for new IF radio It'd be super fun to try a KX2 as an IF radio with its even more compact size.
