Congratulations on your accomplishments!

Styrofoam is probably OK for leaded components like resistors, and
capacitors, but I would not have a bunch of it on my workbench simply
because it does collect static that can 'leach out' into the rest of the
work area.  By all means do not use it for ICs and transistors.
