Paul, I think I can answer your question. The simple answer is no. The reason Elecraft discontinued the K1 was because of unobtainable components. If I remember correctly, obtaining sheet metal was even a problem. You might be able to copy the K1 with a major redesign, but why when you have the KX3, KX2 and now the KH1. All superior QRP rigs to the K1.
