One of the fan choices which was praised was the Noctua NF-A6x25 FLX Premium, a Quiet 60 mm Fan with a 3 pin connector. You remove this connector and splice your existing connector to the red & black wires of the new fan. The fan results as I recall were hailed as a great improvement.
