Thanks to those who called - the radio performed well, allowing me to work 3 continents from various parks in Iceland. The portability-to-features ratio of the KX2 can't be beat.
Here is a video of it in action from the cramped quarters of a tiny rental car with a roof-mounted vertical. All activity was on 15, 17 and 20 meter CW.
