All: I recently had the chance to use a K2 during the last CW contest and thought the receiver performed very well. I only had it for a short while, so I didn't get the chance to go through all of the rigs features.
I did notice a couple of things on this particular unit, i.e., a slight attenuation in signal strength and a change in CW pitch when changing filters, which is probably due to an alignment issue. I'd like to get my hands on a 100 watt unit with a late serial number and upgrades, but I do have concerns about how long the support for the K2 will last and the reliability of a kit rig which obviously depends on the builder. That said, I was still very impressed with one of Elecrafts early K series rigs.
