Thanks Don. I did a full reset and it seems to have fixed the 30m intermittent tx problem where power set to min and pressing TUNE brought it up to 12W straight away, then power knob tweak brought to zero then increased as normal. 30m power setting is behaving normally now.
But still no rx or tx on 60 or 40m. I have to 60m board and reset the D19 to 'yes'. There's something I'm still missing. Any more suggestions? This all seems to have started when I initially powered up my K2 with the KAT2 installed with my linear PSU set to 11V with max current to about 1A. Of course, it tripped out as soon as I started to wind the power up, and it took a few cycles of that before I realised what was happening. Could this have screwed up the K2's 'brains'? BTW, tried a PLL cal set (on 40m) and got the INFO 232. Thank you. BUT - before you do that, record ALL the menu settings. There are instructions in the K2ATOB instruction sheet with places to record the settings - download if necessary. After the reset, you will have to reenter the settings, and do a CAL PLL and CAL FIL to get everything back to normal. That also means you will need the internal frequency counter cable. I believe you can order that kit from Elecraft if you do not have one already. 73, Don W3FPR On 12/6/2025 10:47 AM, Ian Liston-Smith via Elecraft wrote: > I have a K2 s/n 7469 with 160m and 60m boards.
