Hi Dave, I agree with Luc, F6HJO. It would be awkward to send CW using the KY command string.
I used a homebrew optocoupler circuit fed from the (old) computer's parallel port, then upgraded to the RS-232 port, and finally to a MORTTY keying interface from the current shack computer's USB port. The K2 permits one to parallel a paddle with the computer's CW keying signal using two diodes on the paddle input. See the Owner's manual for this configuration. Works great, and it allows the computer to send faster CW than the front panel SPEED control is set - I use it for contests where I need to manuallynrepeat my exchange at a slower speed than the logging program (N1MM+) is set. 73, Mike, K8CN ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to [email protected]
