"I would like to know if this information is available to the User, so we could examine our Tuner memory contents. If not, is it possible that Elecraft would be willing to share either software (could include this in the KAT-550 app) for examining the memories, or share the file format so that we can write apps that would do this."
I was told that the "secret decoder ring" was proprietary and would not be shared with customers. The current tuning solution can be read with published serial commands and is displayed by the utility. The frequency can be stepped through all possible "bins" and the currently selected solution can be read and recorded. However, there are up to 6 solutions in each "bin" and they may be associated with a specific antenna. I don't know any way to extract all 6 solutions using serial commands but I have not attempted this. I am usually only interested in the currently active solution. If I had to solve this I think I'd try to explore the structure of the raw config file and work out how to decode it directly. Of course you could try to get Elecraft to release the decoder tool. I don't see any reason for it to be proprietary. 73, Andy, k3wyc ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to [email protected]
