So that makes 2 for and 2 against. Or maybe 1 for, 1 neutral and 2 against.
Yesterday I leaned toward going with 2.6 KHz. Today, I'm thinking 2.4 KHz is a more general purpose compromise. The truth is, since I'm 95% cw, the decision is pretty unimportant. Then again, my 830s is 2.8 KHz IIRC, and I like it. My Omni V was 2.4 and it was too narrow. I put Inrad 2.8 KHz filters in it and it was MUCH better. Hmmm. Waffle, waffle, waffle ... My KSB2 filter is roughly 2.2 kcs which I find quite wide enough. On Tx with a Heil HC-5 (in boom mic) going straight in, unsolicited reports on the audio have been very complimentary. 73, Geoff GM4ESD _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
