Hello All, Unlike most of the people on this mailing list, my CW sending skill is very poor. So I have bought a paddle and am practicing regularly. One thing I have found with my K2 (S/N 5492) is that the CW test mode will sound a continuous note with both paddles pressed. This happens intermittently and in mode A or B. I have been using speeds around 15 to 20 wpm.
The answer is to set the power down to minimum and use a dummy load - which I have been doing and the problem hasn't happened. I suspect its a firmware issue since the display is being a bit more active than usual flashing the 'c' character, than when normally transmitting.
