I'm sure I'm revisiting well-worn territory but the archives weren't helpful, at
least not with my search words, so here goes...

To use my 40/30/20/15m K1 (80 kHz tuning range/band) portably I want an equally
portable antenna. Considering end fed wire, I need its length to avoid all half
wavelength multiples of all bands on my K1. So I made a table of half
wavelength ranges per band corresponding to the K1's frequency ranges and then
merged together overlapping or nearly overlapping ranges. From that I see I
need to avoid the lengths ranging from 7.12-7.14 m, 10.65-10.71 m, 14.23-14.71
m, and 21.19-21.43 m with next bad length at 28.5m

Splitting the difference between the ranges yields possible good lengths of 9,
13, 18, or 25m, (30', 43', 59', 82') give or take a little. (I'll be sure to
throw in a 10m radial or two to complete the picture.)

Does this back of the envelope work leave out anything important considering the
other less than ideal properties of an end fed wire?

Thanks!
