Hi David!
In the basic K2 you need the KIO2 to interface the K2 with the KAT100.
That interface is a part of KPA100 , so in your case I would build the
KPA100 first.
That will give you the opportunity to test all aspects of the KAT100.
You will be able to see how it switch between ho/lo power settings eg.
10watts is the triggerpoint.

Just starting to get motivated again after building the K2. Have the
KPA100, and KAT100 here. I decided to build the KAT100 now, and come back
to the amp. It says in the front of the manual that it will work with the
basic K2. Just wanted to confirm, and make sure that was the case, or if
I needed anything extra to make it work. I do not have any of the extra
