Mike,

The best starting place that I can suggest is to go the Elecraft website - on their Builder's Resource page, download the 'K1 and K2 Cheap and Dirty Signal Tracing' document - there is nothing 'dirty' about it, and it is not only cheap but effective to locate a failing stage.

Once you have isolated the failing stage we can help - at this point we can only say that it is somewhere inside the K2!

If you installed the Rework Eliminators, have you plugged in the RE boards?

Did the receiver work at Alignment and test Part II?

I can tell you that the problem is most likely a bad solder connection (or unsoldered). Second to that is a misplaced component.

Finishing up K2 6042 today. Have fine output on all bands, but no receive! I
did use another HF rig to create signal for alignment . . . and I did hear
that. I can also hear SPOT, so think amp is okay. But nothing from antenna.
For reference, I connected my K1 to same antenna and receive was fine. I
checked voltage at anode of D6 on the K2 and it is fine. Not sure where to go
from here. Any suggestions?

Thanks and 73,
