Mike, In the May RadCom, an IC-756 ProIII is 1989 pounds in the first advert. This includes VAT at 17.5% (blame the government, not the dealer) so the tax exclusive price is 1693 pounds. The cheapest I can find it in the USA is 2699 dollars, excluding sales tax, which varies from state to state. Comparing tax exclusive prices, at the current exchange rate, buying the 756 in the UK is (1693 x 2 / 2699) times the USA price - that's 1.27 times, The dollar has not always been so weak compared to the pound. Just a few months ago, when prices were the same, the exchange rate was 1.85, which brings the price ratio to 1.17, not double.
