I have a KDSP2 that was built and installed in January 2007. I have played with it and find that it works fine. However, being an old CW op I prefer to use the anatomical filter between my ears!!
If you have a KAF2 and want to try the KDSP2 it will go directly in place of the analog filter. If you haven't installed any filter you will need to modify the control board and order a 3 pin and 5 pin female header from Elecraft to be installed. In either case, you will also need to obtain a Gray Foam retention piece for the K2/100 and the Black Foam retention piece for the basic K2. These items shouldn't total more than 2 or 3 dollars. The KDSP2 is perfectly assembled and tested. I am a retired electronics engineer and 53+ year ham. I am asking $220 shipped Priority Mail.
