With the K3's option for external time base synchronization, there may be some interest in low cost distribution amplifiers. If you have a high accuracy time base, such as a Rubidium standard, or GPS-disciplined crystal oscillator, you may wish to connect multiple devices to one 10 MHz output. Traditionally this is accomplished via a time base distribution amplifier, perhaps the most well known example being HP's 5087A.

A recent suggestion on the Agilent mailing list suggested using an inexpensive video distribution amplifier with separate Red/Green/Blue channels, to distribute timing signals. I've acquired an Extron 6 300MX video amplifier and it works well for this purpose. I've provided photos and frequency response measurements in today's update at http://www.cliftonlaboratories.com/Updates.htm.
