I've never used the Hex-key. I've owned several Bencher BY paddles and
liked them. Or I did, until I got my Kent.

I love the Kent paddle. It is a much nicer machine to operate than the
BYs. The BY paddles have a bit of give to them, a bit of flex. They
do work FB but only if you don't compare them to better stuff.

The Kent is very solid. The move smoothly and have a positive closure.
No spongy feel, no give, just solid. Also, the Kent paddles are
individually adjustable for spacing and spring force. The adjustments
are easy to make and stay set so I'm not fiddling with it all the time.
My only concern is the vertical bearings which are exposed to the air &
dust. I keep the paddles covered to keep them clean and running
smoothly.

I got my Kent paddles off e-bay for about $80. Looking back, I got a
good deal.

Throughout this whole paddle discussion, I haven't heard anybody mention
the Kent paddle from UK. Is anyone besides me using this paddle (or used
it and went away from it)? Opinions pro/con?
