Thanks for all the input re: single lever paddles.

Since I had just recieved my 15 wpm endorsement for the ARRL Certificate of
Proficiency (obtained at 10 wpm) I decided to treat myself to a single lever
paddle. I got a good deal on a Kent SP-1 on eBay and made the deal.

I love it. It works and looks great. I have been using a chrome Bencher Iambic
and it works just fine. It even works well as a single lever paddle. Just
don't squeeze it!

I hooked the Kent up to both my Kenwood TS-570D and my KX1. The Kenwood
appears to have only an iambic A mode and my KX1 was set for mode A. The Kent
worked fine on both rigs.

I then set the KX1 to iambic B and expected to lose the squeeze function, as in
mode A, but still get the opposite dash or dot as the case may be, when I
"held" the dot or dash past the half way point. This did not happen. I did
not think this could be because the KX1 "knew" I had a single lever paddle but
I tested this with my Bencher and got the same results. Anybody have an idea?
